As a Security Officer Mall Center Foot Patrol in Buena Park, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and customer interactions. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture while delivering reliable, agile service and creating a welcoming experience for shoppers, tenants, and staff.

- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity to help support a welcoming environment while addressing security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
- Assist with reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior, and provide clear information to management and/or responding personnel during routine operations and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
