Accounts Payable Associate | Temp-to-Hire
New City, NY area | Fully on-site
Monday – Friday | 8am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of invoices accurately and on time
- Identify and escalate discrepancies, including quantity, pricing, and tax issues
- Support invoice validation, reconciliations, and month-end close activities
- Partner with Supply Chain and Receiving teams to resolve PO-related issues
- Build vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries
- Utilize technology and automation tools to improve AP efficiency
- Ensure compliance with fraud prevention and vendor verification procedures
- Provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or related field
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- SAP and Concur experience a plus
- Accounts Payable experience preferred but open to entry level accounting grads with some internship experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- High degree of attention to detail while processing large volume of invoices and heavy email correspondence.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical abilities
