HIRING IMMEDIATELY: RECEIVING CLERK IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Receiving Clerk to join our team in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and executing all inbound freight activities. This role ensures that incoming cargo, international shipments, and domestic materials are unloaded, inspected, verified, and logged into the warehouse management system accurately, safely, and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, 1–3 years of experience in warehouse shipping/receiving, logistics, or international freight forwarding, and more listed below. Duties and Responsibilities

• Inbound Coordination: Greet and check-in delivery drivers, verify delivery schedules, and assign dock doors for unloading.
• Cargo Verification: Inspect incoming shipments against House Air Waybills (HAWB), Ocean Bills of Lading (OBL), packing slips, or purchase orders to verify piece counts, weights, dimensions, and part numbers.
• Quality & Damage Control: Inspect incoming cargo for visible damage, shortages, or non-conformance. Document discrepancies with photographs and detailed reports, immediately notifying the customer service or import department.
• System Data Entry: Accurately input receiving data, dims, and weights into the freight management system (typically CargoWise / C1 or similar ERPs like SAP).
• Labeling & Put-away: Generate and affix warehouse tracking labels (license plates/barcodes) to incoming cargo. Coordinate with forklift operators for proper slotting and inventory placement.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all receiving processes comply with TSA regulations (for air freight), customs compliance, and OSHA safety standards. Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in warehouse shipping/receiving, logistics, or international freight forwarding.
• Software Skills: Proficient with basic Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook). Experience with CargoWise (C1) or large warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly preferred.
• Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of import/export documentation and standard freight forwarding terminology is a major plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
