Job Summary: We are seeking qualified adjuncts for the Department of English and Communication to teach ENG-111: Composition I, which emphasizes fundamentals of written communication including expository prose, reading comprehension and interpretation, and rhetorical modes. Responsibilities Create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for students. Contribute service to the college. Teach assigned courses in alignment with the course description and outline. Teach Composition I sections two days a week on scheduled days and times. Offer daytime (8 a.m.–5 p.m.) and evening (after 5 p.m.) sections as available. Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in English is required. Doctorate and/or licensure may be preferred or required depending on discipline. Experience: Prior college or university teaching experience preferred. Evidence of scholarly and/or professional activities. Skills: Ability to work with students of multimodal learning styles and diverse levels of writing experience and preparation. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Work Hours Composition I sections run two days a week on Mon/Wed, Tue/Thu, Mon/Thu, and Wed/Fri. Daytime sections are between 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; evening sections begin after 5 p.m. #J-18808-Ljbffr
