Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PK through 12th grade in a close-knit district in the Lanett, AL area. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working onsite across three schools, all located within a three-mile radius. The school district serves fewer than 1,000 students, providing a collaborative, supportive environment ideal for both seasoned SLPs and those beginning their clinical fellowship year.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders
• Valid Alabama SLP license and Teaching Certification for SLPs (or eligibility to obtain)
• SLP-CCC preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered
• Experience in pediatric and school settings is a plus, but not required
• Ability to case manage and provide direct services for mild to moderate disabilities
• Willingness to work onsite, Monday through Friday, across multiple school locations

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a full spectrum of SLP services—including assessment, therapy, and documentation—for a caseload of approximately 60 students
• Serve as a case manager and provide individualized, direct services based on student needs
• Address a wide range of mild to moderate therapy needs for students with diverse backgrounds
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success
• Efficiently manage your schedule across three school sites

This contract runs from August 8th through May 23rd, 2024, and offers 40 hours per week during the 23/24 school year. The district is open to considering two part-time SLPs as well as out-of-state candidates able to secure appropriate Alabama credentials.
