Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital speech-language pathology support to students across a small, close-knit school district in the greater Lanett, AL area. In this onsite role, you’ll work with a diverse PK-12th grade caseload spread across three school sites—all within a convenient three-mile radius—offering your expertise where it’s needed most.

Your impact will extend to approximately 60 students, addressing mild to moderate disabilities with a range of therapy needs. The district's manageable size provides a great setting for building strong connections with students and colleagues from August through May.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s or Doctorate in Speech and Communicative Disorders
• Current Alabama SLP license and Teaching Certification or eligibility to obtain them
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred; however, Clinical Fellows (CFY) will also be considered
• Prior school-based experience is a plus, though not required
• Willing to consider candidates with out-of-state licensure who can secure necessary Alabama credentials
• Two part-time SLPs will be considered if full-time isn't feasible

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide both direct therapy and case management for a caseload of approximately 60 students, ranging from Pre-K through 12th grade
• Serve students with varying therapy needs and mild to moderate disabilities
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication goals
• Deliver services across three school sites, all with easy access to each other

Position Details:

• Full-time; 5 days per week, 40 hours weekly
• Onsite assignment for the 2023-2024 school year (August 8-May 23)
• Serve Auburn, Lanett, Opelika, and surrounding areas
