Job Details Position: Travel Med/Surg Tele RN Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Setting: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit Location: Petersburg, VA 23805 Shift: 12-hour nights Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: 36 Schedule: Every other weekend and major holidays required Assignment Length: 16 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 Start Date: 08/31/2026 Job Requirements Active RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure eligibility Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required Minimum of 1 year of travel nursing experience required Current BLS certification required Strong telemetry and med/surg nursing skills Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process from assessment through evaluation Monitor telemetry patients and respond to changes in condition with sound clinical judgment Administer medications safely and accurately according to policy and scope of practice Coordinate care with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families Care for patients who may require BiPAP , CPAP , trachs, chest tubes, or tube feeds Support pre- and post-hemodialysis care and CAPD patients as needed Perform phlebotomy and maintain accurate clinical documentation Promote patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout the shift Float to other med/surg telemetry units as needed based on patient care needs Why Apply?
