Requirements Qualifications Associate's degree in Education , Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Youth Development, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, school personnel, and community partners. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience maintaining records and entering data into tracking systems. Ability to facilitate groups, workshops, or student activities. Experience providing administrative support, including recordkeeping, data entry, scheduling, and office operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database or student information systems. Ability to work occasional evenings and support special events or programming as needed. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Cantonese . Experience working in educational, alternative education, nonprofit, or youth development settings is highly desirable. Summary Position Summary The Student Success Manager (SSM) will work as part of an interagency team and partners with teachers, counselors, and administrators from the San Francisco Unified School District and County Office of Education (SFUSD-COE). The SSM will attend and/or lead new student exploratories and tours and maintain program documentation and data systems required by grant funders. This position is also responsible for assisting with opening and/or closing the school site. Job Responsibilities Program Support & Student Services Provide case management and connect enrolled students and alumni with appropriate services and resources. Partner with SFUSD-COE teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success. Provide light case management and social-emotional support in collaboration with the School Social Worker. Facilitate restorative circles, brief student check-ins, and other student support activities as needed. Provide classroom support as needed. Instructional & Student Engagement Support Co-lead the Life Skills/Futures class in collaboration with the teaching team, community partners, and outside providers. Attend and/or lead new student exploratories and campus tours. Support student engagement and participation in school and program activities. Community Partnerships & Collaboration Manage and strengthen the school's community partnerships. Collaborate with community organizations and service providers to enhance student support services. Work closely with partner agencies and school staff to coordinate services and programming. Program Coordination & Event Planning Partner with the Site Manager to plan and facilitate Youth Chance High School (YCHS) initiatives, grant-funded programming, and workshops. Support implementation of school-wide and grant-funded activities and events. Collaborate with partner sites and support Youth Chance summer school programming. Data Management & Compliance Maintain accurate program documentation and student records. Enter and manage data in systems required by grant funders and program partners. Ensure timely and accurate completion of reporting and compliance requirements. Assist with opening and/or closing the school site. Maintain a working knowledge of YMCA facilities, programs, services, and activities. Support daily school operations and site needs as assigned. Serve as an active member of the YMCA Alternative Education Team. Participate in site-based meetings, leadership meetings, and interagency collaboration efforts. Attend and actively participate in all required professional development and training sessions. Position Requirements Regular schedule is Monday–Friday during program and meeting hours. Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed. Work Environment & Physical Demands Th is position works in a school-based environment and regularly interacts with students, staff, families, and community partners. The position includes a combination of student support, program coordination, administrative work, and team collaboration. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support meetings, events, trainings , and program activities. Th is position must be able to sit, stand, walk, speak, and use a computer for extended periods. The position requires movement throughout the school site and participation in classroom, student, and program activities. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
