Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift

Maintenance Technician Full-time, Monday through Friday with overtime required when necessary, including weekends. As a Maintenance Technician it is your responsibility to maintain production and quality by ensuring proper operation of machinery, mechanical equipment and building maintenance. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with complex machinery in order to minimize downtime. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Ability to complete assignments and projects without supervision Capacity to work overtime up to 12 hours a day as required Strong desire to learn and grow in a fast‑paced environment Duties and Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with a quick response to system and equipment failures. Diagnose a range of faults and plan a suitable course of action. Adhere to all machine calls between start and end of shift, communicating with Machine Operator(s) and teams to diagnose and fix problems. Complete all paperwork neatly, accurately, and in accordance with company guidelines. Follow up work orders to ensure proper performance. Understand the principles of power transmission systems, various gearboxes, conveyor systems, and welding processes. Identify typical applications and common defects of bearings, drive belts, gaskets, and seals. Use maintenance software programs effectively. Work well in a team environment with a positive attitude. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping. Perform additional duties as assigned, including working after hours and off‑shift hours to maintain production. Language Skills Ability to read and follow instructions on factory manuals. Mathematical Skills Able to read measuring instruments with speed and accuracy and calculate figures such as percentages, measurements, volume, and rate. Application of high‑school mathematics concepts. Reasoning Ability Apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form. Deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations. Technical Skills Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation. Knowledge of product layouts, production specifications, and product quality specifications. Understanding of quality standards. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License. Physical Demands The physical demands include standing, walking, talking or hearing, using hands and fingers, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, occasional sitting, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, occasional exposure to high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and usually loud noise levels.
