The Home Health Office Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting a medium-sized team of 4-10 members by managing administrative tasks and patient care coordination with precision and professionalism. Reporting to the Nursing Supervisor and Practice Administrator, this position ensures smooth office operations through appointment scheduling, billing coordination, and compliance monitoring. The coordinator also leads office projects, facilitates effective communication, and occasionally visits patient homes to support continuous care.

 

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and manage patient records efficiently
• Coordinate billing processes and verify insurance coverage
• Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and insurance providers
• Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards
• Enter and maintain accurate data for office operations
• Oversee office administration and support staff coordination
• Provide excellent customer support to patients and families
• Lead office projects to improve workflow and patient care coordination
• Occasionally visit patient homes to assist with care coordination

 

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare administration

 

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with appointment scheduling software
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and record keeping
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
