About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: December 2026 (Subject to privileging process completion - approximately 120 days)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift with 1:1 patient ratio. Call requirement includes 1 day per week and 1 weekend approximately every 4 weeks (subject to departmental needs). Weekend coverage required only during call rotation. Floating within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed.

• Trauma Level I and II experience strongly preferred
• Heart transplant experience highly preferred
• Contract length determines orientation hours; first-time travelers accepted
• Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory and interpretation services

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience
• MANDATORY: Cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and RNFA
• Experience with procedures including CABG, carotid endarterectomy, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, valve replacements, thoracotomy, VATS, aortic aneurysm repair, and related cardiovascular surgeries
• Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• Must complete privileging process prior to start date (approximately 3-month timeline)
• Full compliance required to start on time; all documents due Tuesday prior to start date
