About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist – Georgia

Start Date: Following completion of privileging process (approximately 120 days)

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift; call required one day per week and one weekend approximately every four weeks (subject to change based on departmental needs); weekend coverage only required during call rotation

Highlights:

• Advanced cardiovascular, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic surgical experience required
• Heart transplant experience highly preferred
• Epic charting system preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory and interpretation services
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience

Requirements:

• Active Georgia license or Compact state license
• Current CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification (required)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and RNFA certifications
• Minimum 2 years of surgical technology experience
• Extensive experience in cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, carotid endarterectomy, AAA repair, thoracotomy, VATS, and related cardiovascular procedures
• Must be willing to float within facility/scope of practice and to main OR as needed
• Full compliance required prior to start date; all documents due Tuesday prior to start

Additional Information:

• Privileging process required prior to start (approximately 3-month timeline from contract signature)

• Orientation hours are non-billable and determined by contract length
• Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit
• Request time off (RTO) must be finalized at time of submission; maximum 7 days per contract with holiday restrictions
