Senior Scientist, Engineering- Analytical Container Closure Integrity (CCI)

Senior Scientist position in the Center for Packaging & Device Analytics focused on container closure integrity for sterile pharmaceutical packaging and medical devices. Responsibilities include analytical method development, component characterization, manufacturing support, and technology advancement for pre-filled syringes, vials, and combination products.
Responsibilities
- Characterize new packaging and device components to support selection and optimization decisions
- Develop, validate, and transfer CCI analytical test methods across product lifecycle
- Provide technical support for packaging and device CCI investigations in manufacturing
- Advance CCI analytical technologies and capabilities within the Center
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on packaging and medical device development programs
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, or Physical Chemistry
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry experience (or PhD)
- Hands-on experience with CCI testing in industrial or academic settings
- Proficiency with CCI technologies including dye ingress, high voltage leak detection, and pressure decay methods
- Experience in CCI method development, validation, and troubleshooting for packaging or devices
- Familiarity with USP <1207> , ISO-13485, and relevant industry standards
Compensation: $117,000.00 - $184,200.00 base
