Travel Physical Therapist – Mountain View, CA Fusion Medical Staffing – Therapy is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Mountain View, California. Assignment Details: Start Date: May 18, 2026; Duration: 13 weeks; 30 hours per week (8‑hour shifts); Employment Type: Travel. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Physical therapy experience; new graduates welcomed. Other certifications or licenses may be required. Summary The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Working in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers, they create personalized, evidence‑based treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to help patients recover and become independent. Essential Work Functions Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention. Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home-based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills. Reading, writing, and verbal communication in English. Proficiency in PC skills. Physical Abilities: Ability to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and perform push, pull, bend motions. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel. Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to grasp and perform fine manipulation and assist with procedures or equipment. Mental Requirements: Ability to cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision as needed, and maintain concentration.
