Our client, a leading construction firm in the Dayton area, is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their accounting team. The Accounting Manager plays a key role in daily financial operations, reporting, and analysis across the organization and its subsidiaries. This role partners closely with leadership-particularly the CFO-to support strategic decisionmaking, ensure financial accuracy, and assist with select HRrelated responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general bookkeeping and monthly/quarterly/annual close processes
  
  
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
  
  
• Review financial and jobcost data, resolving discrepancies and identifying trends
  
  
• Support risk management activities related to insurance and bonding
  
  
• Assist with payroll and benefits administration while guiding and developing team members
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  
  
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction or public accounting experience is a plus
  
  
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and auditing processes
  
  
• Familiarity with corporate taxes (income, sales/use, payroll)
  
  
• Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills
