Radiology / Cardiology – Electrophysiology (EP) Tech

Location: Portland, OR
Pay Rate: $50 - $55/hour
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 3x12 Hours | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Weekend Requirement: None
On-Call: None
Floating: None

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures within a busy acute care hospital setting. The EP Tech will operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment, assist with cardiac rhythm management procedures, maintain sterile technique, and support safe, efficient patient care throughout all phases of EP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures

• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for EP cases

• Operate EP recording systems, fluoroscopy equipment, and cardiac monitoring systems

• Monitor patient status throughout procedures and report changes promptly

• Maintain sterile technique and procedural safety standards

• Assist with cardiac rhythm management procedures and device implantation cases

• Document procedural data accurately and completely

• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

• Ensure compliance with facility policies and patient safety protocols

• Support quality improvement and patient care initiatives

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program or Equivalent Allied Health Program

• Active Oregon License (As Required)

• Electrophysiology (EP) Experience Required

• Minimum 1 Year of Recent EP Lab Experience Preferred

• Experience assisting with Diagnostic and Interventional Electrophysiology Procedures

• BLS Certification Required

• Strong knowledge of Cardiac Anatomy, Physiology, and Arrhythmia Interpretation

• Experience with EP Recording Systems and Fluoroscopy Equipment

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred

• ARRT Certification

• ACLS Certification

• Epic Charting Experience

• Previous experience in a Teaching Hospital or High-Volume EP Lab
