QA Inspector

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a QA Inspector on behalf of our client, a global fourth-party logistics (4PL) provider specializing in original equipment supply chain and repair management services. This role is responsible for ensuring the airworthiness and quality compliance of aerospace components prior to shipment. The QA Inspector plays a critical role in maintaining adherence to FAA, ISO, and OEM standards while supporting quality assurance processes and resolving product-related issues.


Key Responsibilities:

• Certify aerospace parts using FAA Form 8130-3 in compliance with FAA regulations
• Serve as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for aerospace customers
• Conduct visual inspections of hardware to ensure airworthiness and compliance
• Verify that supplier products meet all required quality and regulatory standards
• Investigate and resolve product quality issues and nonconformances
• Process and evaluate customer returns
• Communicate with customers, OEMs, and FAA representatives regarding quality matters
• Manage and maintain the Quality Control Hold Area
• Perform internal quality audits in accordance with AS9100 standards
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FAA regulations, documentation, and compliance requirements
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations

Requirements include:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Additional technical or aviation-related education preferred

Experience:

• Experience in quality assurance within the aviation or aerospace industry
• Direct experience working with FAA regulations or equivalent military standards

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and inspection capabilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and quality documentation tools
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Certifications:

• FAA certification or eligibility to act as an FAA Designee (preferred)
• AS9100 audit experience or certification (preferred)

Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of FAA regulations, documentation, and airworthiness standards
• Familiarity with AS9100 aerospace quality standards
• Knowledge of quality control processes, inspections, and audits
• Understanding of OEM requirements and supplier quality management
