Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your role will encompass a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

• Implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans devised by supervising physical therapists, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met.
• Applying therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation to patients according to established procedures.
• Educating and training patients in performing therapeutic exercises, as well as ambulation and activities of daily living, ensuring they are comfortable using adaptive equipment when necessary.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress through detailed progress notes and treatment records as mandated by regulatory standards.
• Facilitating referrals to specialized services or practitioners when patient needs warrant additional evaluation or treatment.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development, including attending workshops and participating in in-service training to enhance your expertise in physical therapy practices.
• Collaborating with the team to notify supervising physical therapists of any patient evaluations required as per state practice regulations.

You will work with a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgery, those with chronic conditions, and patients rehabilitating from injuries. Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program is required.
• A current and valid Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by the State of New Jersey.

Preferred Experience
