Medical Assistant, Senior (On-site, Harrisburg, PA 17101)

• Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 sign-on bonus with a 1-year employment commitment!
• Job Type: Full-Time, Direct-Hire (Permanent placement on company payroll with full benefits; not a temporary job)
• Location: Harrisburg, PA 17101 (Capital Region / Downtown). Up to 25% of travel may be required to support staffing needs at the Dillsburg location.
• Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday – Friday daylight hours; no weekends or holidays required)
• New Hire Starting Base Pay: $19.41 – $21.85 per hour (Starting salary placement is determined by direct clinical medical assistant, OB/GYN specialty, or patient care experience.)
• Future Earning Potential: Position salary range progresses up to $29.15 per hour over time through performance, tenure, and senior clinical career ladder advancement.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Education & Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, equivalent clinical program (LPN/RN/EMT), active certification (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA),  OR a minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience.
• Clinical Competencies: Responsible and proficient in three (3) practice-category specific tasks (phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, level-one labs). Knowledge of medical terminology and exam/treatment room protocols. Prior OB/GYN experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and Electronic Health Record (EHR) charting skills.
• Customer Service & Travel: Excellent interpersonal skills for patient flow management and triage. Ability to travel up to 25% to support sister clinic operations in Dillsburg.

How You'll Make an Impact

• OB/GYN Clinical Procedures: Perform phlebotomy, level-one laboratory tests, and EKGs; assist providers with specialized obstetric and gynecological clinical procedures; administer physician-directed injectable medications and vaccines.
• Patient Intake & Flow Management: Welcome patients, collect vitals, take medical histories, perform screenings per provider guidelines, and guide patient transfers/rooming.
• Infection Control & Room Prep: Clean, sterilize, and set up procedure rooms and instruments according to CLIA, OSHA, and Department of Health standards; manage and restock room supply inventories.
• Administrative & Front Office Support: Route patient records compliant with HIPAA, verify insurance, schedule appointments, process chart paperwork, and answer incoming patient calls with educational directions.
