Job Overview Nikkiso Expander Application Technology (NEAT) is filling a position for an summer electrical engineer intern. This position is based at NEAT located in Irvine, CA. Responsibilities Support development of motor control systems, VFDs (variable frequency drives), and control panels Help review and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Assist in the design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems used in reciprocating pump units Work with engineers to analyze pump performance data (pressure, flow, vibration, temperature) Assist in integrating sensors, instrumentation, and monitoring systems with reciprocating pump Help troubleshoot electrical faults, signal issues, and system malfunctions Collect and document test results and performance metrics Qualifications Driven college students, or recent college graduates, with a major or degree in Electrical Engineering. Passionate individuals that are eager to learn Knowledge, skills, and abilities in manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, critical thinking, and attention to detail Physical Demands Ability to sit for extended periods of time to use the computer, to perform paperwork activities, to attend meetings, etc. Intermittent walking to gain access to areas within the facility. Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer and to read and complete written documents. Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person. Ability to bend, lift and carry books, files and office supplies and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
