Rare Disease Account Specialist, PAH - Colorado

Merck seeks a Rare Disease Account Specialist to manage pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) accounts across Colorado. The role involves building provider relationships, developing account strategies, coordinating clinical education, and supporting formulary access for the company's PAH products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and office staff across Colorado territory
• Develop and execute quarterly strategic account plans aligned with company and customer objectives
• Provide approved clinical information and product education to care team members
• Coordinate with company stakeholders to ensure compliant, orchestrated customer engagement
• Plan and support medical education events and industry congress participation within territory

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 10 years equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years healthcare industry experience
• Deep knowledge of pulmonary arterial hypertension, disease state, and standards of care
• Understanding of regional healthcare networks, payer processes, and specialty pharmacy dynamics
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and account strategy development skills
