Dietary Aide - Full-Time

The Lutheran Home is looking for Full-time Dietary Aides to work within our health center kitchen. This position supports the daily operations of the kitchen and meal services for our healthcare community while providing friendly, respectful service to residents, families, and coworkers while upholding our values of Service, Excellence, Dignity, Fulfillment, Grace, and Stewardship .

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with meal service, including food running, bussing tables, and support residents with their dining needs
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area
• Wash dishes by hand or using the dishwasher
• Assist with food receiving, storage, labeling, and rotation
• Sort and remove trash and put in the designated areas
• Prepare, portion, and serve regular and modified diets
• Follow food safety, sanitation, infection control, and safety guidelines
• Provide care and respectful service to resident, families, and coworkers

Our kitchen operates from 5:30 AM – 7:00 PM. Full-time schedules are available within the kitchen’s operating hours and include weekend shifts.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Time management
• Attention to detail
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Dietary experience preferred
