HVAC Supervisor

Position Summary The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the skilled tradesmen in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) department. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Job Duties and Responsibilities Supervises and monitors work activities of subordinates by planning and establishing specific duties. Inspects work of subordinates to ensure standards are maintained. Maintains project records by tracking materials, equipment, and replacement parts. Determines schedules and assignments for work activities. Reads and interprets blueprints, manuals, schematics, building plans, and drawings. Calculates estimates and actual costs of materials, labor, and/or outside contractors. Processes work orders assigned to department. Assists in training of apprentice tradesmen. Coordinates work activities with other skilled trades on renovation and construction projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of policy and procedures, laws, and regulations related to HVAC trades. Knowledge of methods, practices, and safety precautions associated with HVAC work. Ability to calculate time, materials, and labor needed for projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, building plans, and drawings. Ability to communicate information and ideas in various environments. Boiler Operator license. EPA G08 Types I, II, and III and/or Universal license. Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in commercial HVAC. Valid Arkansas Driver's License. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education and/or Experience Experience with boilers, chill water systems, and other commercial HVAC systems. Physical Demands Checklist Sitting, Kneeling, Standing, Balancing, Lifting/Carrying, Walking, Climbing.
