Inventory Buyer and Analyst

Beechwood Sales and Service has an excellent opportunity as an Inventory Buyer and Analyst. This position is a hands-on role that will provide valuable knowledge and experience in supply chain operations within the beverage and distribution industry. This individual will work with our inventory procurement and control department to learn how to forecast, order, and receive product. This role will also have responsibilities within the warehouse for cycle counting, adjustments to physical inventory and product life cycle accounting. We are looking for an energetic individual with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team.

Essential Job Functions:

• Place Purchase Orders with suppliers
• Communicate forecasts with sales managers
• Cycle Count on-floor inventory and review of variances on daily transactions
• Review Backorder Report, Key in and verify received orders
• Communicate all problems/issues/Out of stocks, overstocks, under stocks, etc.
• Handle item level file maintenance
• Daily review of Product Return Report with emphasis on inventory related adjustments
• Distribute reports and all company notifications as required
• Monitor and coordinate cooperage returns with the Warehouse Manager
• Establish relationships with suppliers and Brand Managers
• Negotiate and set up freight
• Assist on special projects as assigned

Essential Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Math, or Operations Management
• Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
• Proven ability to be resilient and deliver results
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Superior organization skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency with company software and Microsoft Excel
