Field Service Technician

Stasis Drilling Solutions, LLC is a privately held oilfield services (OFS) provider headquartered in Houston, TX with operations throughout the lower 48 of the United States. JOB DESCRIPTION A Field Service Technician will provide shop maintenance and troubleshooting support, maintain MPD and RCD equipment, and maintain and keep Stasis and client quality, health, safety, and environment systems compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES *Not an all-inclusive list Assist with rigging up and down all MPD and RCD equipment, attaching and detaching high- and low-pressure steel lines/hoses Install, service, and repair equipment components Use gauges, multi-meters, meggers, scopes, and other test instruments to diagnose malfunctions in electromechanical devices and use mechanic tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble system components Maintain computers and software packages relevant to the design, modification, installation, and calibration of electrical and instrumentation systems Maintain and calibrate process implementation devices, electrical power distribution and monitoring devices, servo drives, and motor controls Perform preventative and predictive maintenance including calibration, using data collectors, testing and diagnostic tools, and computerized maintenance systems Electrical systems integration and troubleshooting of systems, as well as supervision and mentoring other technicians in basic electrical Conduct inspections and tests to ensure that MPD equipment is functioning properly and meets safety and environmental standards Assist in diagnosing equipment failures and pulling choke apart when necessary to clean and service Take initiative and work independently during downtime Ability to identify choke and RCD components Repair RCD bearings and chokes in a workshop setting Pull and stage inventory and assets for upcoming jobs Troubleshoot and repair equipment Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and procedures EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Strong communication in English (both written and verbal) Proactive analytical skills with attention to details and process improvements Ability to follow all required safety instructions as per company policy Exhibit punctuality and leadership through servitude behavior Ability to work with minimum guidance as well as in a team-based environment Ability to work in a heavy industrial environment, which includes working around constantly moving overhead machinery, being in close proximity to loud equipment, and handling potentially hazardous materials Exhibit honesty, ethics, determination, active listening, and focus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to repetitively climb steep stairs and lift/carry 50+ pounds independently Ability to stay alert and focused for 12+hours while performing repetitive and routine activities including, but not limited to, walking, standing, or sitting Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl throughout the work shift Ability to use heavy-duty handheld and long-handled tools Ability to work closely with others in a confined area and live together in crew quarters when needed Ability to travel and work in remote locations, working 12+ hour shifts that can include days, nights, weekends, and holidays Clear vision to judge near and far distances Able to accurately recall information over short and long-term periods TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS BENEFITS We offer a competitive benefits package that includes: Earned Paid Time Off (PTO) Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Health Savings Account (HSA) options (with eligible medical plans) Company-paid Life Insurance Voluntary Life & AD&D Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity coverage Pet Insurance Disclaimer This job description is provided for informational purposes only and is intended to describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position.
