Assembly/Machine BuilderLocation: Waterloo, IowaSalary: $24-29/hourJob Summary of the Assembly/Machine Builder: The Assembly/Machine Builder will be responsible for building custom, made-to-order machines per drawing specifications. Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude with experience in building or mechanical repair of industrial/heavy equipment. Be able to work from prints, sketches, or verbal instructions. A strong attention to detail is required. To be safe in all operations of the job. To keep the work area clean and organized. This is a low-volume work environment where you will build a machine from start to finish. This is a first shift position, and pay is commensurate with experience. Subject to a drug screening and background check.Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Assembly/Machine Builder:Must have a High School Degree1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment or mechanical work experience.High mechanical aptitude.Any experience working on cars or any type of mechanic background is a plus.Ability to read blueprints.An understanding of hydraulic components and functionality.A basic understanding of 12V wiring.Ability to use wrenches, air tools, overhead cranes, steel handling and frequent lifting required.Forklift experience or ability to train on operation of.Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 pounds.Ability to stand / or be on your feet all day.Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
