Outside Sales Representative - Oilfield Equipment

Job Summary

UMC Energy Solutions is seeking an experienced and driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our oilfield equipment sales in West Texas. This role focuses on promoting and selling ASME Code and Non-Code pressure vessels, LACT (Lease Automatic Custody Transfer) units, and related production equipment to upstream and midstream oil & gas customers. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated hunter with strong technical knowledge, existing industry relationships, and a proven track record of closing large equipment sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities with operators, midstream companies and EPC’s.
• Actively promote ASME Code and Non-Code vessels (separators, treaters, heater treaters, vapor recovery , etc.), LACT units and Pump Skids.
• Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to develop technical proposals, sizing recommendations, and custom solutions.
• Prepare and present competitive quotations, negotiate pricing/terms, and secure purchase orders.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through project award and post-sale follow-up.
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and activity tracking in CRM system.
• Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to build relationships and generate leads.
• Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory requirements affecting oilfield equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5+ years of outside sales experience in oilfield equipment.
• Technical knowledge of ASME Section VIII pressure vessel design, API standards, and LACT system components.
• Established network of contacts in upstream/midstream oil & gas sectors within key producing regions (Permian, Eagle Ford, Bakken, etc.).
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multimillion-dollar sales quotas.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent industry experience accepted.
