Description

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized testing and observation.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that target both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions concentrating on communication skills, language acquisition, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing functions.
• Engage collaboratively with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers to develop unified care plans.
• Provide educational support to patients and families to promote progress outside the clinical environment.
• Participate in the occasional evaluation and intervention of inpatient speech therapy cases, ensuring consistent care throughout the treatment journey.
• Keep precise and timely records in adherence to state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and collaboration with colleagues.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary for those yet to achieve ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of starting.
