The primary responsibility is preparation and set up of instrumentation and supplies specific to a surgical case, and performing in the scrub role. Performs scrub role in equipment, preparation of the surgical patient, and with the general environment for patient care. Nursing care provided is specific to patients of different age groups. This position has a required float between Ronald Reagan (RR) UCLA and Santa Monica (SM) UCLA L&D units as censes needs require with main responsibility to SMUCLA Perinatal Units. Salary range: $50.30-$50.30 Hourly *This position may convert to career.* Job Qualifications Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility We’re seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated professional with: Graduation form accredited Surgical Tech Program required Surgical Tech certification required BCLS certification required 1 year experience as Surgical Tech required Working knowledge of the use, function and operation of all operating room equipment Working knowledge of aseptic technique Working knowledge of surgical procedures including anatomy and correct terminology Ability to set priorities, recognize emergency situations and take the appropriate action under the direction of the nurse in charge Ability to move objects, such as heavy carts and handle surgical equipment safely As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
