Quality Engineer: Lead APQP & Process Improvement

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing product quality by leading advanced quality initiatives across manufacturing processes. You will work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with industry standards, and optimise quality systems. Description Lead quality initiatives including APQP activities such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation Develop and implement inspection plans, gage R&R studies, and statistical process control (SPC) systems Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve product quality and process efficiency Oversee and enhance Quality Management System (QMS) operations to drive continuous improvement and cost reduction Monitor compliance with industry standards and conduct audits to maintain quality excellence Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and methodologies, including training internal teams Perform root cause analysis (8D investigations) and lead corrective action processes Profile Degree (B.S. or A.S.) in Engineering or a related discipline REQUIRED Minimum 3 years' experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing environments Strong knowledge of quality systems such as ISO9001, AS9100, and PPAP Hands-on experience with machining processes and inspection techniques Proficiency in SPC, MSA studies, geometric tolerancing, and gage calibration Experience leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams Job Offer Competitive benefits package including health coverage, profit sharing, and tuition reimbursement Clear career progression opportunities within a stable and growing organisation Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and industry-leading practices Collaborative and supportive team environment focused on innovation and quality Attractive working environment in a scenic, campus-style setting Desired Skills and Experience 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience and degree required MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
