Manager, Facilities Engineering

Vaxcyte seeks a Manager of Facilities Engineering to oversee maintenance and optimization of office and laboratory facilities in San Carlos. The role involves managing facility staff, coordinating infrastructure systems, and ensuring operational efficiency across a clinical-stage vaccine company.
Responsibilities
- Supervise facility engineers and technicians on daily tasks and professional development
- Oversee corrective and preventive maintenance for all facility assets
- Design equipment specifications and facility layouts for labs and offices
- Evaluate operational systems and infrastructure to improve efficiency
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and manage vendor relationships
Requirements
- Experience managing facility engineers and technicians
- Knowledge of structural code requirements and compliance
- Project management expertise with budget analysis skills
- Understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance planning and scheduling
- Vendor management and coordination experience
