Controller (open to relocation candidates)

Our client is seeking a Controller who wants to be more than a traditional back-office accountant to join their team! This position is located in St. Louis, Missouri. This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership, contributing to business performance, and helping scale a dynamic organization. Duties: Own the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financials Bring structure and efficiency to the month-end close process Improve reporting cadence and key performance metrics Serve as a key financial partner to leadership Lead budgeting and forecasting to support business decisions Partner with teams across the organization to align financials with operational performance Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights Identify cost savings and margin improvement opportunities Oversee key accounting processes, including allocations and reporting Build and enhance processes and internal controls to support growth Help scale the financial infrastructure in a fast-paced environment Lead and develop the accounting function over time Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and technology Support related administrative and financial operations as needed Desired Skills/Experience: 5+ years of experience with increasing ownership and leadership responsibility Experience in investment environments, real estate, or other fast-paced industries preferred Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills Ability to bring structure and accountability to financial processes Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills Naturally curious with a proactive, solution-oriented approach Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on Strong attention to detail with a forward-looking mindset Motivated, driven, and comfortable in a dynamic environment Why This Role High-visibility role with direct exposure to leadership Opportunity to influence business decisions and outcomes Collaborative, team-oriented environment Growing organization with strong momentum Ability to build, improve, and shape processes Employee Stock Ownership Plan 401K offered The approximate pay range for this position is between $140,000 - $175,000 . Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
