Valens is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Task Lead and Senior International SOF Support SME to join our team at the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. In this critical role, you will support the J3-I mission by advancing collaboration, integration, and interoperability among international Special Operations partners. Through these efforts, you will help strengthen partner capabilities and enhance the ability to deter strategic competition, respond effectively in crisis, and prevail in conflict.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice, insights, and experience concerninginternationalSOFsupportto all elements of the J3-I
• Assist and advise J3-I leadership in the management of the overall J3-I program of work to meet Commander USSOCOM objectives and priorities
• Participate and facilitate J3-I strategic planning
• Supportthe functionalSMEs inmaintainingtimely/accurateglobal awareness andassisting in the integration of Partner Nation (PN) SOF capabilities and organization into plans, operations, crisis response to critical events, and capability development and readiness events across SOF Enterprise
• Develop measures of performance and measures of success for J3-I
• When required, mentorinternationalSOF officers and senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on USSOCOM, its components, operational headquarters, and SOF culture
• Perform close-out and escort duties as part of the Divisions Security Procedure

Minimum Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Masters degree ininternationalrelations or related field
• Graduate of School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or equivalent military planning course
• Joint Professional Military Education Level II or equivalent graduate
• Senior (O5 or above) Army Special Forces officer with 15 years combined experience in operations and PN development at O6- command, TSOC, or NATO SOF HQ level
• 1-year recent (last 5 years) combat/operational experience as part of combine joint special operations task force or TSOC staff
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with coalition SOF partners
• Current DoW Top Secret clearance and eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access
