Supervisor, Pharmacy Operations

AbbVie seeks a Pharmacy Operations Supervisor in North Chicago to oversee pharmacy technician and fulfillment teams. The role manages daily operations, staff performance, compliance with pharmacy regulations, and customer service delivery within a specialty pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technician and fulfillment teams with daily oversight and coaching
- Monitor workflow, adjust staffing and workload to meet performance metrics and timelines
- Review call recordings and cases; provide feedback on accuracy, policy adherence, and customer service
- Conduct administrative tasks including scheduling, attendance monitoring, and performance reviews
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, pharmacy law, and HIPAA standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences or business, or equivalent healthcare experience
- Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure and certification at start date
- 3-5 years experience in healthcare provider, PBM, specialty pharmacy, or retail/mail order pharmacy
- 1-2 years supervisor or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, pharmacy law, cGMP, and fraud/waste/abuse regulations
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated written and oral communication abilities with cross-functional teams
