Product Manager Roof System Components - Southern CA

Product Manager, Roof Components oversees the product strategy, lifecycle, and profitability for WRBP Roof System Components (RSC). Duties And Responsibilities Develop product pricing and positioning strategies using market research, production and sales costs, and forecasting. Manage P&L for each RSC product by implementing price changes and cost improvements. Manage and execute launch of new RSC products. Work with Marketing to create and maintain marketing collateral (price lists, brochures, labels, samples, guides, product approvals, etc.). Own the RSC product life cycle and roadmap from definition to launch to phasing out. Communicate price and product updates to Management, Sales, other internal teams, vendors, and customers. Gather voice-of-customer feedback on company products and services. Identify and fill product gaps, generate new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth. Analyze RSC sales performance and collaborate with Sales Managers and Territory Managers to implement regional product sales strategies. Manage sample offerings and requests as needed. Obtain approvals for and execute price changes & legal documents using Docusign. Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of RSC products. Identify competing products for each product line in each regional market. Determine marketing and product requirements to optimize revenue and profitability. Work with supply chain, operations, and external suppliers to maintain RSC supply. Work with Supply Chain to process vendor price increases and establish Westlake RSC pricing. Develop product introduction presentations and present to Sales and Customer Service. Train new employees on RSC and maintain all presentation materials. Submit monthly reports to management on RSC sales and specific product or pricing changes. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and network participation. Travel: 30% required. Education, Experience And Qualifications 5+ years’ experience in Product Management. Experience in building products or construction markets a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technologically proficient. Strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent teamwork skills. Ability to influence cross‑functional teams. High level of knowledge with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with SAP preferable. Physical Demands The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; work may be required in operating units and job sites, requiring PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.). 30% travel, including air and auto travel, is required.
