As an Armed Patrol Officer at a public transportation location, you will conduct visible patrols, drive assigned routes, respond to security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service to riders, employees, and visitors. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $23.81 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon08:00 AM - 04:00 PMTue08:00 AM - 04:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to transit employees, riders, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, stations, parking areas, perimeter areas, and adjacent grounds to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and reporting requirements. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Possess an Armed Guard Card or License. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a 40 Caliber Endorsement. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
