Our Substitute Instructors provide core subject instruction to students in accordance with approved curriculum and promote student achievement. At the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), we have challenging projects and creative people who make a difference in the lives of at-risk young people each and every day.
MAIN DUTIES:• Present lesson; administer and correct tests
• Identify, select and modify instructional resources to meet student needs
• Motivate and counsel students about study habits, behavior and personal issues
• Coordinate with other staff to resolve issues affecting student achievement
• Model appropriate behavior, mentor students and monitor behaviors WORK SCHEDULE:
Weekday substitute assignments from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in education or related field; valid Minnesota teaching license for subject matter; one year experience in teaching preferred; valid Minnesota driver’s license with acceptable driving record SALARY:
