Processing Lead

Oversee operation of Tobacco processing equipment, supervision and training of hourly staff in various departments within our unionized leaf processing facility. Responsibilities Job Content and Duties: Operation of processing equipment in assigned department. Train and supervise hourly and seasonal employees in proper work procedures, and document training performed Maintain accurate payroll and attendance records on hourly and seasonal employees, and submit weekly report of hours worked by all direct reports to Payroll to meet specified deadlines Ensure compliance with all plant rules and regulations, including safety and current bargaining union agreement. Conduct preliminary counseling with hourly and seasonal employees and disciplinary action when necessary, following discussion with Supervisor; document and communicate action taken to the Supervisor and to the Plant Human Resources Manager.
