Job Responsibilities

Primary Function: Work with the Fabrication Manager and other coworkers to ensure that all jobs are fit to their specifications and meet the drawing or best practice requirements/tolerances.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lift or move materials and finished products using overhead cranes / hi-lo
• Hammer, chip, and grind workpieces in order to cut, bend, prep and/or straighten materials
• Lay out and examine materials for continuity to the required code/specification as well as to the required materials specified on the drawing
• Tack weld joints when approved and in accordance with the WPS and their personal WPQR
• Notify CWI for necessary/required pre-weld inspection and sign-off
• Position, align, and fit parts to form complete weldments, following drawings and layout specifications. Using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Document actions by completing production timesheets
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience

The role requires regularly lifting to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required.

Work Environment: Employees are regularly exposed to electrical shock hazards and frequently to moving mechanical parts.
