Metal Finishing Technician Our client, an aerospace and defense manufacturer in Sterling Heights, is seeking a metal finishing technician to join their team. As a metal finisher technician, you will be part of the assembly team supporting production goals. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently, a strong work ethic, and reliability which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Metal finishing technician Location: Sterling Heights, Michigan Pay Range: $18/hr-$20/hr Shift: 1st shift: 5am-3:30pm Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts 2nd shift: 2pm-12:30am Monday-Friday 10 hour shifts Saturday is mandatory overtime typically 6-8 hours What's the Job? Fabrication, assembly, installation & repair of sheet metal products and components Setting up fabricating machines including break press, metal muncher, rolling machine. etc Assemble components according to blueprints and specs Using gauge tools such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc... What's Needed? Proficient in using metal fabricating machinery such as break press, rolling machines, grinders, etc... Experience in qualifying sheet metal parts to fit models, check fixtures, and/or print specifications Familiarity with airless paint spraying and auto painting techniques Ability to read blueprints Capability of lifting 50 lbs unassisted What's in it for me?
