About the Role:

A-1 Fabrication Inc. is looking for a skilled Fitter/Welder to join our team in Roseville, MI! This is a hands-on opportunity to showcase your fabrication expertise in a fast-paced, production-driven environment where quality craftsmanship is valued every day.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to plan and execute fabrication work
• Fit, tack, and weld metal components to specifications using MIG, TIG, or Stick welding processes
• Set up and align parts and assemblies using clamps, fixtures, and hand tools
• Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards
• Operate cutting equipment including plasma cutters, grinders, and saws
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fitter/Welder in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols
• Experience with fitting, layout, and assembly of structural or custom metal components
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production shop setting
