Accounting Supervisor

Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee accounting operations and lead a team of 3 accounting professionals. This individual will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the month-end close process, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 3 accounting professionals, providing day-to-day direction and support
• Oversee and participate in general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid expenses
• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial results
• Review account reconciliations and financial data to identify discrepancies and ensure proper reporting
• Assist with preparation of financial statements, reporting packages, and analysis for leadership
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
• Support audits and provide documentation as needed
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounting function

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior supervisory experience managing or leading a team (3 direct reports preferred)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and month-end close
• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve accounting issues independently
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Excel
