The Role: The Industrial HVAC & Refrigeration Technician performs the duties of product testing and qualification of all the products our Company manufactures to prove that the product performs as designed and to our customers' specifications. If you would like to make a real difference as part of a winning team, then we want to hear from you! This is a 1st shift position located at our facility in Batavia, OH.

You will

• Test refrigeration, a/c, and chiller systems to meet customer specifications
• Verify that the electrical wiring is correct and matches the details on the electrical schematics
• Read and follow procedures in installation, operation, and maintenance manuals
• Review the Internal Shop Order and Test Plan Procedures and related forms, and perform testing following the specified requirements
• Connect and verify certified calibration instruments of all data recording equipment needed to provide necessary testing data
• Set up test fixturing, including piping, brazing, power and control wiring, and instrumentation

We're looking for

• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in commercial/industrial HVAC/R
• Knowledge of electrical and piping schematics
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC/R and Electrical Troubleshooting
• Experience with low and high voltage 3-phase voltage from 208 V to 600 V in relation to motors and electric heaters
• Knowledge and experience working with fans, pumps, and compressors
• Ability to set up and use instrumentation to measure voltage, current, power, temperature, pressure, and flow
• Current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants
• Basic principles of heat capacity and heat transfer
• Knowledge of MS Office
• High attention to detail and quality oriented
• A team player who will work well with a cross-functional team
