We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CDL A Driver/ Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role combines professional driving responsibilities with warehouse operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of freight while maintaining accurate inventory handling. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial truck driving regulations, cargo handling procedures, and warehouse management practices. Hours will vary based on delivery needs for clients : 6am-2:30pm/ 8am-4:30pm/ 11am-7:30pm

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds or tankers, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
• Safely load and unload freight, utilizing manual handling techniques and proper equipment to ensure cargo integrity.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, pickups, and cargo manifests in accordance with hazardous materials regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory, stock control, and order fulfillment processes.
• Assist in truck loading and unloading operations when necessary, ensuring proper handling of freight including freight requiring special equipment like tanker or flatbed trailers.
• Support the warehouse team in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the facility.
• Will be driving 2 weeks of the month and then working in the warehouse the remaining 2 weeks.
• Will be working with Kitchen Cabinets, Counter Tops, and tile.

Requirements

• Forklift Experience
• Valid CDL A or B license with clean driving record; experience with manual transmission.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or route driving roles.
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service, load securement, and safety standards.
• Ability to manually handle cargo safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.
• Experience with freight management systems and documentation related to logistics cargo handling.
• Strong adherence to DOT regulations and hazardous materials regulations when applicable.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries with clients and warehouse staff.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks as required.
