Director, Program and Portfolio Management
Septerna
Septerna seeks a Director of Program and Portfolio Management to lead lifecycle management of drug development programs from early to late-stage clinical development. The role involves end-to-end operational oversight, strategic alignment, risk management, and cross-functional coordination in a full-time, onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end program management leadership and serve as operational owner for assigned programs
- Develop and maintain integrated program plans, timelines, and risk management strategies
- Coordinate governance structures and enable informed decision-making across team and executive levels
- Proactively manage program risks, costs, and schedules while facilitating trade-off discussions
- Partner with scientific and development leaders to align execution with company strategy
Requirements
- Extensive experience in program management within biotechnology or pharmaceutical development
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs through clinical development phases
- Strong project planning, timeline management, and risk assessment skills
- Experience with integrated program planning and governance frameworks
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Advanced proficiency in program management tools and methodologies
