Discover an exciting opportunity supporting young learners as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist in an early childhood program near Chicago, IL. This contract position is perfect for SLPs who thrive in dynamic school environments and value flexible scheduling. In addition to the part-time role, there are also openings for two full-time, elementary-level SLPs to cover maternity leaves from August through October and August through December.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), CCC required
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to create individualized treatment plans and manage diverse caseloads
- Passion for early childhood education and speech-language development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to early childhood students.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and educational staff to develop and implement IEPs.
- Conduct assessments, document student progress, and participate in team meetings.
- Consult with colleagues regarding effective intervention strategies.
- Support an inclusive and engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Role Details:
- Part-time: 2.5 days per week, approximately 18 hours
- Focused on early childhood learners for the entire school year
- Two full-time SLP roles available as maternity leave coverage for elementary students, running August–October and August–December
