Associate Attorney (Personal Injury)

The Firm is recognized as leaders in personal injury litigation, with decades of experience and a track record of large verdicts and settlements. We are actively seeking an Associate for our midtown Manhattan office. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail. Position Summary Experienced Plaintiff's attorney for case litigation. Must be able to manage multiple cases, have good client communication skills, work with strong attention to detail and in a fast‑paced environment. Candidates should be committed to gaining experience and be hard‑working. Location: New York City Reports To: Managing Partner & Executive Director FLSA Status: Exempt Business Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Handle a caseload of personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, product liability, and wrongful death claims Conduct client intake interviews Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement demands Represent clients at depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings Prepare cases for trial Maintain communication with clients regarding case progress and strategy Collaborate with medical experts, investigators, and other professionals to build cases Manage multiple tasks/deadlines simultaneously Work with strong attention to detail Work in a fast‑paced office environment Utilize strong organizational skills Apply problem‑solving skills Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active license to practice law in the state 1-3 years of personal injury litigation experience preferred Strong negotiation, litigation, and client communication skills Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently Proficiency with case management software is a plus Familiarity with Litify a+ Physical and Mental Requirements Requires sitting in one place several hours at a time. Requires occasional lifting of up to five pounds.
