Looking for a client service role where you can use your insurance experience to genuinely help people?

At Peninsula Insurance, you'll build relationships with clients, solve problems, explain coverage, and help people navigate their insurance with confidence.

We're looking for a licensed insurance professional who enjoys helping clients, solving problems, collaborating with teammates, and taking ownership of their work.

This is a relationship-focused service position where your primary focus is taking great care of our existing clients.

We offer a hybrid work environment because we're focused on finding great people, not where they sit. Training will include regular time in our Okemos office, with greater remote flexibility as you become comfortable with our systems, clients, and workflows.

Salary: $45,000-$55,000 per year based on experience, plus bonus opportunities tied to client retention.

Responsibilities

• Answer client questions about their policies and coverage
• Review policies and explain coverage options in plain language
• Assist clients with policy changes and endorsements
• Help retain existing clients by reviewing coverage and identifying solutions
• Assist clients with billing questions and help them report and navigate claims
• Communicate with insurance companies on behalf of our clients
• Provide exceptional ongoing service to clients after their policies are written
• Build lasting client relationships through proactive, thoughtful communication
• Document client conversations and policy activity accurately
• Take ownership of client issues and follow through until they are resolved

Requirements

• Active Michigan Property Casualty license
• 1+ years of personal lines insurance experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage a busy workload
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable learning and using multiple technology systems
• Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and solving problems

Experience working in a captive insurance agency, such as State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, American Family, or a similar agency, is welcome.
