Requirements

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Required
• Experience as a Mammography Technologist: Preferred
• Radiologic Tech (RT) and Mammography Technologist: Required in the state
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiography (ARRT-R): Required
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Mammography (ARRT-M): Required in state and Preferred in others
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in the state
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in the state

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized examinations of the breast to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
• Conduct diagnostic or screening mammograms as ordered.
• Support the Radiologist with intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
• Produce high-quality images for evaluation.
• Educate patients regarding exams while ensuring their privacy and comfort.
• Maintain safety standards and follow infection control guidelines.
• Document relevant information and disseminate patient preparation instructions.
