Job Description
X-Ray and Computed Tomography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled X-Ray and Computed Tomography Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating x-ray and computed tomography equipment while contributing to the achievement of departmental objectives.

Job Summary

This position involves performing various radiographic and computed tomography procedures, ensuring safety and quality in patient care. The technologist will assist in maintaining a professional environment in the medical imaging department and be competent in at least two imaging modalities.

Essential Functions

• Perform various radiographic and computed tomography procedures based on experience.
• Competently perform at least two imaging modalities.
• Safely transport and transfer patients between gurneys and wheelchairs.
• Test defibrillators and check the integrity of crash carts.
• Perform mobile imaging examinations as necessary.
• Safely prepare contrast agents for imaging procedures.
• Assist with other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Education: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology is required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent is preferred; Master's Degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of technical experience is preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification in the state of practice is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is required.
  • Certification in two additional advanced modalities such as Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography (M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Sonography (S) is preferred.
